If I could summarize my experience with the 60-Day Business Reset Challenge in one word, it would be “transformative.” I had a friend whose success with the original “75 Hard” program inspired me to create a challenge tailored to the needs of professional organizers. When I set out to implement this program for professional organizers, it was based on a simple idea: commit to a few essential business practices consistently over 60 days and see what happens. I had a hunch that consistently showing up for myself and my business would have a big impact, but I had no idea HOW BIG of an impact it would have.
I wanted this 60-Day Business Reset Challenge to not only build my own business but to serve as a powerful tool for anyone else in the professional organizing field, helping us support each other through the ups and downs of wearing so many hats and balancing the universal struggle of how to prioritize working IN the business versus working ON the business.
The Inspiration Behind the Challenge
In reflecting on my business goals for this year, I realized they looked very different than in previous years. My focus shifted from external achievements to internal strength: getting lean with expenses, focusing on my team of organizers and honing their skills, and creating intentional habits that support my long-term vision. I realized that, as a business owner, it’s all about choosing your “hard". The challenge of growth might be hard, but the challenges that arise from stagnation or burnout are even harder.
This program isn’t about perfection but about practicing small daily habits that create consistency and motivation.
Why the 60-Day Business Reset Challenge Was Transformative
Running a business often means spending time on day-to-day tasks rather than long-term goals. Like many, I am constantly balancing work, family, and life’s never-ending to-do lists, making it challenging to implement big changes or even to stay motivated. The 60-Day Business Reset Challenge changed my approach to business in a few key ways:
Mindset Shift: Journaling daily, writing affirmations, and expressing gratitude helped me realign with my goals. I noticed I became more intentional and grounded in my vision, making it easier to stay in my lane without comparing myself to others. These daily practices not only built my confidence but helped me gain clarity on my priorities and goals.
Relationship Building: Each day, I’d reach out to a past client or a potential partner in a related industry. The power of simple check-ins with past clients is undeniable – many were quick to refer others or re-book, often within days of reconnecting. Consistently reaching out to and following up with vendors moved things forward more than I could ever imagine. The current challenge I have is tracking all the outreach I am managing, but so much good has already come from creating more relationships and consistently following up and checking in.
Purpose-Driven Social Media: Posting on Instagram, even if just a story, created a consistent touchpoint with followers and reminded me of the passion behind my work. It pushed me to share value, which not only engaged my audience but also kept me excited about my purpose.
Consistency and Growth: Making these small daily actions non-negotiable gave me a sense of accomplishment that motivated me to continue. Because the tasks only took a few minutes, they were things I could do even on the busiest of days. Through this consistency, I found myself naturally honing in on the tasks that truly drive growth.
Looking Back: The Results
The 60-Day Business Reset Challenge brought new clients, strengthened my network, and helped me clarify where my time and energy should go. It forced me to break down lofty goals into actionable steps, to embrace the joy of progress over perfection, and to continue growing as a business owner. And… October was one of our highest revenue generating months we have ever had in the history of my business. I truly believe that's partially a result of spending 30 minutes consistently showing up with these simple habits each day.
For anyone considering this challenge, my hope is that it brings you the same clarity, empowerment, and growth that it brought me. Get ready… we are starting up again in January and want you to be a part of it! Join us and let’s transform our businesses together. It doesn’t matter where you are, I KNOW these simple habits will:
Change your mindset: you are a business owner. You are smart and you can make strategic decisions for your company.
Educate yourself: ten minutes a day of learning is huge.
Create more connections that will generate a more consistent stream of leads.
Help to eliminate procrastinating those little tasks that are our least favorite (social media).
